About me: I am a mom and an RN, interested in new music from artists that write and perform without a lot of other nonsense. My kids have been a great resource for me to discover new musicians.I like more folk, acoustic styles but also enjoy the indie rock music. Really like just about everything but less produced the better . KDHX is the only place to hear new and old music that's so good but not "commercially" successful. There are so many talented people out there that never get airplay. I feel at least they can be heard at KDHX. Otherwise, music radio in st louis is terrible. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

Listen your show & I thoroughly enjoy it. How does one go about suggesting new artists/cds? Does an artist just send one to your station and you listen and see if it is suitable for a program? Its someone I know. www.theanniewilliams.com. Or maybe she would be better suited to the Backroads show. She also has a St Louis connection as her family lives here. Keep up the great music. Thanks.
