Scott Miller

A great point made on Hardball tonight by Cynthia Tucker: If welfare and other programs for the poor only make the poor worse off, as Republicans claim, then why don't corporate welfare and subsidies make corporations worse off?

If the best thing we can do for the poor is severely cut back the social safety net, then surely the best thing we can do for the Free Market, is to end all corporate welfare and subsidies. Right?
