Desperate Housewives may be a little too outrageous and grotesque for some people. They want their humor and emotional uplift, but they don't want to be shocked out of their seats in the process. For those of you, I recommend Soccer Moms, which looks to be just the right blend for (female) crowd-pleasing.

Dracula

I'm only an amateur critic, but even I can tell when a theatre company is triumphing despite a mediocre play. The 1927 play by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston was wildly popular in its day, when playwrights like Noel Coward were making drawing room dramas the big thing, with chic characters gliding around the furniture making brittle chit-chat.
