The Minus Five played to an enthusiastic crowd at Off Broadway on Friday night, with Magnolia Summer opening the show.

The Uncle Tupelo No Depression Tribute Show at Off Broadway featured Cree Rider’s acoustic family, Fred Friction, the Dive Poets, the Trophy Mules, Melody Den, the Vondrukes, Grace Basement and the Brothers Lazaroff.

Decorated for the holidays, the Casa Loma Ballroom provided a festive and nostalgic vibe as the The Cactus Blossoms and The Tillers opened for a sold-out Pokey LaFarge concert on Friday night.

The Kenneth Brian Band opened at the Pageant for Lucinda Williams, blasting out southern electric rock tunes that are still echoing in my ears.

Colonel Ford took the stage Saturday evening with Gary Hunt (guitar and vocals) and Dade Farrar (upright bass and vocals) leading the way for a fantastic night of Americana and country music. The band had great energy that led perfectly into Son Volt's set.

Jonny Fritz was in full character, as is normal for him, as he took the stage. Fiddle player Joshua Hedley exploded on stage with multiple solos that kept the crowd listening. These two performers shine a new light to country music.

Sons of Fathers showed off their songwriting skills quite well at Off Broadway Thursday night. There were many cowboy hats on hand for the show as their country-styled music echoed throughout the venue.

Broadway Oyster Bar hosted the Whole Earth Nuclear Ukulele Orchestra's 3rd Annual KDHX benefit last night.

Old Lights opened for Bobby Bare Jr. at Off Broadway Saturday night. They were two bandmates short but still overwhelmed the crowd with some great melodies and songs.

With 50 years in the music business, Andre Williams does not disappoint. The documentary "Agile, Mobile, Hostile: A Year with Andre Williams" was screened before the show and only made one wonder what kind of show was about to happen.
