Wednesday was a perfect day for an all-day music festival at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.

Tuesday night Kent, Ohio native Jessica Lea Mayfield treated the crowd at the Firebird to songs of love, loss, loneliness and heartache.
 

Thursday night Ben Kweller played to an energetic crowd at Off Broadway.

Wednesday night electronic and industrial pioneer Gary Numan played a sold out show at the Firebird.

Austin band Ume played to a small crowd at the Firebird on Sunday night.

Tuesday night Flogging Molly was in town at the Pageant for their 10th annual Green 17 Tour.

Tuesday night at the Fabulous Fox TheatreSigur Rós put on a show not to have been missed.

On Wednesday the Vans Warped Tour rolled into town, stopping at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. The annual festival, currently in its 19th year, was welcomed by thousands of fans and perfect weather.

Monday night at the Firebird had a little bit of everything, from the art-rock band the Red Paintings to the whirlwind set from Austin power-trio Ume to the blistering performance by headlining act ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.

Thursday night at the Firebird was a great place for a geek. Using video game sound cards, Super NES controls and an old NES Power Pad with chiptune, pop-rockers I Fight Dragons made references ranging from Edgar Allan Poe to Star Wars to Moby Dick.
