Thursday night at the Firebird was a great place for a geek. Using video game sound cards, Super NES controls and an old NES Power Pad with chiptune, pop-rockers I Fight Dragons made references ranging from Edgar Allan Poe to Star Wars to Moby Dick.

Ska-punk veterans Less Than Jake played a skanktacular show Wednesday night at the Firebird.

Jessica Lea Mayfield kicked off her summer tour at the Firebird on Tuesday night to a captivated crowd.

San Antonio-based Girl in a Coma played a roaring set last night at the Firebird In support of last year's "Exits and All the Rest." Local bands Scene of Irony and DinoFight! (not pictured) rounded out a perfect way to end a weekend.
