The gritty twang of Holly Golightly and Lawyer Dave certainly inspired some boot stomping on a Tuesday night.

Off Broadway hosted an incredible two band bill that left me wishing that more St. Louisians had made it out on a Tuesday night.

Fierce thunderstorms and tornado warnings did not deter the crowd that showed up to the Firebird to hear Rural Alberta Advantage.

It didn't feel much like a Monday night at Old Rock House last night as folks packed in close to the stage to catch Seattle folk-rockers the Cave Singers.

Seeing Danish indie rockers the Raveonettes in such an intimate venue at this stage in their career was a special treat for the scores of sweaty fans packed into the Firebird last night.

Off Broadway was fortunate to host S. Carey for the band's final tour stop last night.

Colour Revolt opened the evening with a strong set, warming up the crowd at Off Broadway for the acts that followed. Singer-songwriter Richard Buckner followed, accompanied by Anders Parker.

Akron/Family offered up its own brand of experimental, folk-twinged rock to the crowd at the Billiken Club. The trio mesmerized the audience with endless loops, layers and 3-part harmonies.
