Please tune in for my show this Wednesday from 5-7AM during our Spring Pledge drive!  I'll be playing new stuff from Michael Kiwunaka (a great new British soul singer), Otis Gibbs, Wussy (who'll be at this year's Twangfest) and Joe Pug along with favorites from Nada Surf, The Replacements and The Cure.

And while you're listening to my show or any of the other fine programs on KDHX, please consider donating to the station.  We need and appreciate all of your support as we celebrate another Spring.

Mike, I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves that Lydia Loveless album. I was just listening to it again tonight. "Learn to Say No" might be my new favorite song on the album. And I too was disappointed by the new DBTs album. I miss the rock of Southern Rock Opera or Decoration Day. But, I still think there's some good songs on there. "Pulaski" is a favorite.

Hard to argue with any of those picks. I don't think any American rock band of the last ten years has written as many great songs -- as songs -- as the DBTs. I'd pick "Danko/Manuel" and "Space City," but I'm a sucker for the ballads.

Great list. Personally, I would have a hard time coming up with ten, much as I like the band. But well played, Allen!

Thanks Mike! Great list ... I was torn on New Madrid. I chose not to put it on my list due to it being too Anodyne heavy already.

I love "Skyway" but as you said Roy, it somehow seems small, almost like a throwaway track. But, if I were to do the list over, I may just put "Unsatisfied" on it. It was definitely a late cut.
