I hope you'll tune in tomorrow (Wednesday, April 17) for my one chance to ask for your assistance to keep KDHX going in St. Louis.  I feel that we're the best radio station in St. Louis and quite possibly the world.  And you as our loyal listeners are a big part of that.  Oh, yeah, and I'll be playing music too ...  Tune in and I'll be playing new music from Dawes, Eels, Mount Moriah, Dolly Varden, Josh Ritter and much more.  I'll also be playing some Van Morrison, Elton John, Whiskeytown and Okkervil River.   I hope you'll tune in and pledge your support to Bittersweet Melody and more importantly, KDHX, Wednesday morning.

I hope to hear from you.

The new Mavericks album hit yesterday and there is some really good stuff on it. Looking forward to SV and Josh Ritter as well.

Wow, you did a lot of research. Saves me from looking :) Excited about the TSOOL. Heard the Richard Hawley the other day and is really good. They were streaming it at guardian.co.uk

Mike, I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves that Lydia Loveless album. I was just listening to it again tonight. "Learn to Say No" might be my new favorite song on the album. And I too was disappointed by the new DBTs album. I miss the rock of Southern Rock Opera or Decoration Day. But, I still think there's some good songs on there. "Pulaski" is a favorite.

Hard to argue with any of those picks. I don't think any American rock band of the last ten years has written as many great songs -- as songs -- as the DBTs. I'd pick "Danko/Manuel" and "Space City," but I'm a sucker for the ballads.
