Upcoming Releases

As typical, now that the beginning of the year is over, more artists are releasing albums.  The list below is just a small sample of all of the releases coming out.  There's a few I'm really looking forward to:

Son Volt - Honky Tonk 3/5 - Heard a bit of it for the first time this morning and really loved it and I've actually been down on Jay for a couple of albums now.

Josh Ritter - The Beast in its Tracks 3/5 - This guy can do no wrong in my eyes.  Go see him in concert if you want to see a man absolutely love his career.

Water Liars - Wyoming 3/5 - Local band that seems to be making some headway in the industry.  Their first album was great.

Josh Rouse - The Happiness Waltz 3/19 - I was a huge fan of Josh's first few albums but his last couple have been stinkers in my opinion.  Word is the new one is a return to form.  I hope.

Phosphorescent - Muchacho 3/19 - Big fan of their last release, Here's to Taking It Easy.  Hoping this one compares or exceeds it.

The Strokes - Comedown Machine 3/26 - Hoping this one resurrects the first album and not their most recent.

Telekinesis - Dormarion 4/2 - Can't wait for this release.  Their first two have been power pop gems.

Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires of the City 5/7 - Loved the first one but lukewarm to their 2nd offering.   The second one changed their sound a bit ... wondering if there are more changes in this one.
