Discussions from Drifter's Escape

Thank you to all who took the time to make that call or donate online - I truly appreciate it. Thank you to Jim Bruce for taking the time out to come pitch for the show. Thanks to the phone volunteers: Pippin, Avis, Lucile, Jim and Brent – It was nice meeting all of you. And to all those who did not call that is okay, but you may only listen with one ear next week.

Hi Drifter's Escape! My name is Jackie Niebylski and I was wondering if you could please announce a benefit we're having this Saturday, January 19th at the Shanti in Soulard from 11am-7pm for Tom Hall. Tom fell down 15 stairs and broke his collarbone, had 5 hour surgery last week, and is out of work for a couple of months. The benefit will feature lots of St. Louis musicians (probably going to be an amazing floating jam) from 11-3:30pm- musicians include Dave Black, Johnny Vegas, Charlie Pfeffer, Vince Corkry, Thane Bradford, and many more. 4-7pm will be Liquid Gold. We are going to have a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and food provided by Bill Huber, Pappy's Smokehouse, and Joanies Pizza. All proceeds go to Tom Hall. There is a $10 suggested donation at the door. If people can't make it they can donate online at our Tips for Tom Hall page (community page) on facebook. We have a link to fundrazer on that page. Thank you!! Oh...and if you can...play a Geyer St. Sheiks or Tom Hall song for us.

For me, Mark is probably among the top 3 programmers at KDHX in terms of how much music they inspire me to buy. Excellent stuff.

Thank You very much Dale, I appreciate the kind words. It is a privilege be able to share the music I love with listeners like you and I agree it is the best station in the world. Happy New Year
