What is September Gurls & Boys?

Monday, 30 August 2010

Glad you asked. It's a tribute to Alex Chilton and Big Star, not to mention a benefit for 88.1 KDHX, and the whole shooby-doo-wop-bang goes down at Off Broadway on Friday, September 24.

Thirteen bands will be playing the music of the late Memphis and New Orleans rocker and his bands Big Star and the Box Tops. The lineup includes: Boorays, Adam Reichmann, the Remodels, Magic City, Jimmy Griffin, Beth Bombara, Grace Basement, Edward Burch, Wormwood Scrubs and mucho mas. 88.1 KDHX radio personalities Rich Reese and Steve Pick will emcee.

RSVP at Facebook and get your tickets early. This will sell out -- and you don't want to miss it.
