St. Louis band Rough Shop (featuring John Wendland) is recording a new album

Monday, 23 January 2012

Let's start with a full disclosure:

The band Rough Shop features three great friends, Anne Tkach, Andy Ploof and Spencer Marquart, and one of my very best friends, John Wendland, who you know and love as host of Memphis to Manchester every Thursday morning on 88.1 KDHX.

Rough Shop is finishing up its fourth album, "Beneath the South Side Bridge." I've heard the rough mixes and it's pretty damn special, with a big and beautiful soul and rock-oriented sound, but with the songwriting excellence that is Rough Shop's signature.

You can take part in this endeavor by backing the band at their Kickstarter today. There are lots of cool rewards, including a vinyl LP version of the record, which, personally, I can't wait to get my hands on.

Get Rough Shop to the finish line Kickstarter project

Thanks for reading and see you on the radio soon!
