Hear the new single by St. Louis band Rough Shop

Tuesday, 06 March 2012

Semi-full disclosure (there's not enough time for a full full one!): I'm good friends with Rough Shop, and especially one of the band's lead singers and songwriter, John Wendland. Morevoer, John is a KDHX DJ and host of the amazing Memphis to Manchester.

That said, and while I can hardly be objective at this point, I think their forthcoming album, "Beneath the South Side Bridge," is one of the best albums to come out of St. Louis in some time.

You can stream and download (free) the first single, "Flashback," at the band's SoundCloud right now:

And you can pre-order the album, even a limited edition vinyl version, by backing the band on Kickstarter -- but fair warning: The Kickstarter expires on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Central, so don't miss out.

Release party is set for April 14, 2012 at Off Broadway. Should be a great time!
