Fav Drive By Truckers Album?

If you had to pick one or two of their best albums, what would they be?

Thanks guys! I was wanting to add a few of their albums to my music library, but wasn't sure where to start. I'll give them a sampling.

Here are my top 5 DBT's albums:

1. Decoration Day
2. Southern Rock Opera
3. The Dirty South
4. Brighter Than Creation's Dark
5. A Blessing and a Curse

Southern Rock Opera is heavier than Decoration Day, but overall I think DD has the best songs. The Dirty South also has some of their best storytelling.

I haven't heard but a couple a tracks from the new Go-Go Boots album, but Allen gives it a thumbs up. I bet you'll be hearing it a lot on KDHX in the coming weeks!

Diane,

I'm sure Roy will chime in as well but since I love lists, I couldn't help myself. Mine are:

1. Southern Rock Opera
2. Decoration Day

They've put out great stuff before and after these back-to-back albums in the early '00s but these two, for me, are their pinnacle.
