Discussions from Gold Soundz

I made this list almost two weeks ago, and there are a couple of albums that would probably be included were I to make it today. The new releases from Bon Iver and Centro-matic have both exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds, and will likely stand up against the rest of the albums here given some more time. The Centro record is probably the best they've releases in 10 years or so.

The Beth Bombara session is all kinds of awesome. I also really like the Futurebirds. Very different sound than on record, I think.

There's some good stuff here, including a couple of albums that I either completely forgot about or forgot that they were released this year. I'll be adding the Teenage Fanclub and Roky Erickson albums to my short list. The Mynabirds may sneak in there as well. I just picked up the album last week but after a few spins it's settling in very nicely. I'm guessing that I should give the Hollerado and Broken Records albums a full listen as well. I've listened to one or two tracks from each and liked what I heard, but haven't sought out the full records.
