My top 10 (NOT Alphabetized!) CD's from 2011!

Thursday, 15 December 2011

I started writing descriptions about why I like most of these and it started to get real repetitive - so I stopped. I guess I like them for a lot of the same reasons. Poppy, insanely catchy, melodic well-crafted pop songs. That's really about all I need.

1. Fountains of Wayne - Sky Full of Holes (Yep Roc)
2. The Red Button - As Far as Yesterday Goes (Grimble)
3. Sloan - The Double Cross (Yep Roc)
4. Gomez - Whatever's on Your Mind (ATO)
5. The Blind Eyes - With a Bang (Self-released)
6. Dark Ocean Colors - Dark Ocean Colors (Rainbow Quartz)
7. Deleted Wavefront Gatherings - Pretty Escape (Rainbow Quartz)
8. Tommy Keene - Behind the Parade (Second Motion)
9. Dum Dum Girls - Only in Dreams (Sub Pop)
10. The Fling - When the Madhouses Appear (Dangerbird)
