The Back Country brings you the traditional sounds and styles of country music from the 1920s to the contemporary artists who infuse their music with that tradition. The Back Country has Jimmie Rodgers and Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Wayne Raney and Wayne Hancock, Cousin Emmy and Emmylou Harris. Host Jeff Corbin also regularly celebrates birthdays, milestones in country music history and special theme shows.

PlaylistI thought the Spring 2012 Membership Drive might be a good time to send out my first group email to self-declared fans of The Back Country, so here it is.
I know you are all regular listeners to KDHX so you know we exist because of our members. I hope you'll take a couple of minutes before the end of the drive to call 314-664-3688 or go online to www.kdhx.org and donate to this diamond-in-the-rough of a radio station.
If you'd care to designate The Back Country as the show to receive your donation you can do that by calling on Saturday between 3 and 5PM, donating online during that time or simply doing either at any time by choosing The Back Country online or by calling any time and telling the phone volunteer you want to credit The Back Country.
What ultimately counts is that you do act to support KDHX, which I am confident you will do.
Also, if you would like to receive The Back Country annotated playlist that I send out weekly after each show, simply email me at backcountry@kdhx.org and I will add your email address to the group. The annotated playlist features thumbnail sketches of artists that aren't available on the website version.
