Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames - "Yeh Yeh"

Featured on the ITV program "Ready Steady Go!" in late 1964, Georgie Fame & The Blue Flames with their first and biggest hit, "Yeh Yeh," a tune originally recorded the year before as an instrumental by Mongo Santamaria and featured on his LP "Watermelon Man," with lyrics added by Jon Hendricks of the jazz vocal group Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. "Yeh Yeh" peaked at #1 on the UK charts in January 1965.
