FYI to local Trip Inside'rs: we've two fantastic shows (at least) coming up in the coming weeks. This Saturday night, April 21, at Off Broadway, San Fran' psych' n' rollers Sleepy Sun roll into town with White Hills in tow and local heroes Troubadour Dali in support; then on Tuesday, May 1st, at The Firebird, seminal shoegazers The Telescopes bring their mindmelt to St. Louis!!! Be there!

5/1: The Telescopes (UK) - In 1987, amidst the budding shoegaze craze sweeping the British Isles, Stephen Lawrie and a few of his friends got together and started playing as The Telescopes. Their sound was initially heavily indebted to My Bloody Valentine and Spacemen 3, but over time, the band drifted toward a more relaxed, shimmering sound. After a 9 year hiatus, the band reformed in 2002, and after another 10 years, they're finally making their way to our fair city. This is a once-in-a-lifetime shot at seeing one of the very best original shoegaze bands - be there! (Tickets onsale soon)
