Mark your calendar for the Green Homes & Renewable Energy Festival - Saturday Sept 27 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed on Sunday Sept 28 by a Green House Tour. Festival visitors can talk in-depth with our state's leading businesses and organizations specializing in renewable energy, green homebuilding, native plant landscaping - and more. Free admission and free parking give you access to over 70 exhibitors. A $5 wristband will admit you to 21 expert workshops. Kids can paint a bio-fueled Metro bus and build and race their own Solar Cars. Local food, live lunchtime music - and much more will fill the 3600 block of Grandel Square in mid-town St. Louis. The Green House Tour includes 10 new and rehabbed homes built to earn certification from LEED-Homes, ENERGY STAR Homes or the Green Building Initiative.
