Millie Jackson “It Hurts So Good” (Spring 1973) —Reissue of her 1973 Spring LP. Recorded at Muscle Shoals. Millie Jackson will be appearing at the 7th Annual St. Louis Blues Festival at Chaifetz Arena on Sat (2/25) along with Mel Waiters, Sir Charles Jones, Shirley Brown, Bobby Rush and Theodis Eale.
Alex Chilton “Jumpin' Jack Flash”
from Free Again: The 1970 Sessions (Omnivore 2012) N —Reissue of his long out of print 1970 LP along with bonus demos & original mono mixes. Recorded after the demise of the Box Tops and before the advent of Big Star. Fantastic slowed-down, rearranged riff version of the Stones classic.
