Spackle “Crazy Shines The World”
from The Luv Album (Royal Goddess 1999)

Weapon of Choice “I Like Your Body”
from Count Mackuluv Single (Loose Groove 1995) —As far as I know the only band on Stone Gossards short lived vanity label. Saw this band play once and the singer/bassist came out with a gold cape and plunger which he used to play his bass for the first song.

Ozomatli “Cut Chemist Suite”
from Rare On Air Vol 4 (Mammoth 1998) —Chali 2na and Cut Chemist on this amazing funk/hip hop/latin track. Bought this record 15 years ago and this song still blows me away.

Rahzel “To The Beat (feat Q-Tip)”
from Make The Music 2000 (MCA 2000) —Most of this record is Rahzel beat boxing.

Q-Tip “A Million Times”
from Kamaal the Abstract (Jive 2009) —One of the great unreleased albums that actually got released.

Jill Scott “A Long Walk (A Touch Of Jazz remix)”
from Red Star Sounds, Vol 1 (Epic 2001) —This comp, if you can find it, has some really sweet R&B on it.

Prince “Power Fantastic”
from The Hits / The B-Sides (Warner Brothers 1984) —One of my favorite Prince tracks.

Fitz & the Tantrums “6AM”
from More Than Just A Dream (Ekektra 2013) N

The Jam “Going Underground”
from Alterno-Daze (Rebound Records) —A tune from one of those compilation gems you can now find for a buck or two at any record store worth their salt.

Ben Folds Five “Underground (Live at Mielparque Hall, Osaka, Japan 2/22/13)”
from Live (Legacy Recordings 2013) N  —This song is kinda about the same thing as the one before it

Liz Phair “What Makes You Happy”
from Whitechocolatespaceegg (Capitol Records 1998)

Owl City “Fireflies”
from Ocean Eyes (Univexrsal Records 2009) —My son is really into this song right now and I told him I'd play it for him. I was familiar with the band but his enjoyment kicks it up for me.

The Postal Service “Natural Anthem”
from Give Up: Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition (Sub Pop 2013) N  —Since he liked Owl City, I kicked it up a bit and intro'ed him to Postal Service. So far so good.

Peter Gabriel “Family & The Fishing Net”
from Plays Live (Charisma Records 1993)

Rush “Cygnus X-1 (Hammersmith Odeon, London, 1978)”
from Different Stages Live (Atlantic/Anthem 1998) —Yeah, just a big 'proggy'.

Leonard Cohen “The Traitor”
from Recent Songs (Sony 1979)

Guster “Two Points for Honesty”
from Live Acoustic (Ocho Mule 2013) —This song is still a huge standout from the show they did here last Spring.

Summerhouse “Centigrade”
from Race To The Red Light (Aesongs 2000)

Old Lights “Blocking Out The Sun”
from Old Lights/Demonlover split 45 (Tower Groove 2013) L —Side A of the inaugural single from Tower Groove record club

Ouija “Evil Eye”
from The Wayout Club (Rooster Lollipop 1997) L

JC Brooks & The Uptown Sound “I Can See Everything”
from Want More (Bloodshot www.bloodshotrecords.com 2011)
