Josh Ritter “Monster Ballads (Acoustic)”
from The Animal Years (V2 North America 2006) —It's a pleasure to have Roy Kasten along side. Josh Ritter just released an all acoustic version of his classic cd Animal Years.

from Lasso From El Paso (Sony 1976) —Kinky will be in town 4/29 at Off Broadway, there's nobody quite like him, don't miss the experience !! He's performing this song with Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue.


Mary McBride “Rev It Up”
from Everything Seemed Alright (Rogan 2002) —More reason to see Kinky, Mary McBride will open, A fine Singer/Songwriter you should know more about, she does a Fred Eaglesmith cover here, with the late Willie P. Bennett alongside.

Sammy Walker “Crazy Billy”
from Misfit Scarecrow (Ramseur Records 2008) —First discovered Sammy 30 years ago on his Warner Brothers lps, he's remained a largely undiscovered treasure ever since, great to have new music from him.


The Real Macaws “Nicolette”
from Standing Alone (self 2011) N  —New band (Byrds meet the Daredevils) Supe's tribute to their friend Nicolette Larson who died way to young in 1997. Catch their St. Lois debut next Sat. 4/23 Highland Brewing Co. Kirkwood, dinner 6:30 show 8.


Nicolette Larson “Lotta Love”
from super hits of the 70's (Rhino 1990) —Nicolette's big hit with this Neil Young cover, great news that Neil's original band The Buffalo Springfield is back together and going to tour, I'd like to see that show, never thought I'd have the chance.


Rodney Crowell with Jerry Douglas “Long Hard Road (The Sharecropper's Dream)”
from Glide (Koch 2008) —Jerry Douglas talked Rodney into doing this song on his cd, Rodney's hit for the Dirt Band, but never released by Rodney, I'm glad he did.


Tom Russell & Iris DeMent “Throwin' Horseshoes At the Moon”
from The Man from God Knows Where (Kirkelig Kulturverksted 1999) —We're outta here with Tom's ode to his Dad, thanks for the calls, thanks to Roy & Stacy, back to normal next week, Tom's in town for 2 shows in October.
