Gretchen Peters “Hello Cruel World” (Proper 2012) —Brand new from amazing songwriter, Gretchen, caught her friday on Imus doing this song.


Joe Ely “Lord of the Highway”
from Live Chicago 1987 (Rack'em Records 2009) —Newly released blast from the past, Joe is joined on this scorching set by Bobby Keyes, David Grissom, Davis Mclarity, and Jimmy Pettit. Joe covers his buddy Butch Hancock on this track.


Terry Allen “Flipside: A Side - Baby How I Know, B Side - Together”
from Al's Grand Hotel (Orion Read 2011) —Another Lubbock songwriting legend (Must be something in the water) at an L.A. Sunset Strip Hotel, recorded 3 years before his 1st release "Juarez" 5 never released songs. only 500 vinyl copies made !!

Mustard's Retreat “The Ballad of Elmer McCurdy”

J.D. Souther “Faithless Love”
from Natural History (EOM 2011) —rescheduled appearence this Friday at the Old Rock House, here doing one of his best songs.


Suzy Bogguss, Gretchen Peters, & Matraca Berg “Hammer and Nail”
from The Sewanee Sessions (15 Bottles 2011) —Suzy wrote this one and sings it here with her friends, Suzy will sing American Folk classics this Friday at the Sheldon.


Ray Wylie Hubbard “Jazzbo Dancer”
from Ray Wylie Hubbard & the Cowboy Twinkies (Wounded Bird Records 2011) —Nice to see this classic Ray Wylie album released and remastered on cd, Thanks to Rich for this one, and for helping out today.


The Mollys “The Foggy Dew”
from Live at El Casino Ballroom (self 2011) —We close with the delightful Mollys, recorded St. Pattys Day, March 17, 2010 as they get back together for their 10 yr. reunion, Here's to many more future reunions. see you next week !!!
