Written by George Jackson & Raymond Moore and recorded by Wilson Pickett on the b-side of "Hey Jude." But George Jackson's vocal on this is tremendous.Buy it!
Spencer Wiggins “I'd Rather Go Blind” from The Fame Studios Story: 1961-1973 (Kent 2011) N —Not often heard version of the Etta James classic recorded in 1970 at Fame and found on this highly recommended 3-CD compilation. Written by Billy Foster & Ellington Jordan & produced by Rick Hall.Buy it!
Etta James “Miss Pitiful” from Heart & Soul: A Retrospective (Hip-O Select 2011) N —1969 Cadet single written by Otis Redding & Steve Cropper. Included on this 4-disc 2011 retrospective. Sad to say, Etta James is terminally ill but what a musical legacy she will leave behind her.Buy it!
