Todd Snider “Waco Moon”
from New Connection (Oh Boy www.ohboy.com 2003) —Todd got the news that his good friend Eddie Shaver died on New Years Eve 2000 at the age of 37, and wrote this song, Todd will be at the Sheldon on Friday the 13 this month. A side note, Eddie's dad Billy Joe will be at the Old Rock House January 17.
Bettysoo and Doug Cox “Dublin Blues”
from Across The Borderline: Lie To Me (Bettysoo and Doug Cox 2011) —This song would have fit on Guy's tribute, a wonderful take on Guy's song by Bettysoo along with Canadian dobro wizard Doug Cox, all covers but Bettysoo makes great choices, including Butch Hancock, Blaze Foley, Doug Sahm, 'nuff said.
