from Canadian Girl (Bonnie Ste-Croix 2011) N  —My Canadian discovery of this year, Bonnie records a song in each of the Canadian Provinces, including guests from each stop, Kim Beggs joins her in the Yukon.


Todd Snider “Alright Guy”
from songs from the daily planet (MCA 1994) —Todd will be at the Sheldon this Friday, January 13. be prepared for 2 hours of stories and songs that will leave you wanting more.


The Refugees “Chain Stores, Malls and Restaurants”
from Three (Wabuho 2011) N  —Love female harmonies, and you get lots from the amazing trio of Wendy Waldeman. Cindy Bullens, and Elizabeth Holland, who wrote and sang lead on this one.


Owen Temple “Mountain Home” (El Paisano 2011) N  —Gabe Rhoads produces this underlooked 2011 gem from this Texas songwriter, Bukka Allen, Charlie Sexton, Rick Richards, Brian Standefer, Tommy Spurlock, Gordy Quist, Jamie Wilson, & Adam Carroll provide all-star support.


The Civil Wars “Barton Hollow” (Sensibility 2011) N  —As always we like to do a little slice of Bittersweet Melody (Wednesdays 5 t0 7 AM) with Allen. The Civil Wars will be at the Pageant for a sold out show next Sunday, January 15.


Shelby Lynne “Revelation Road” (Everso Records 2011) N  —Shelby will be at the Old Rockhouse this Thursday, January 12. Thanks Allen for the set and the help.


Amy Black “Whiskey And Wine”
