Albert Smith “Come Together”

Some of these original 45s were only pressed in lots of 200.
Wes Dakus' Rebels “Sour Biscuits”
from That's Swift: Instrumentals from the Norman Petty Vaults (Ace 2007) —Music bed. 1964 instrumental recorded at Norman Petty's studio in Clovis, NM & released on the Swan label.
Rick Nelson “Stop Sneakin' Around”
from James Burton: The Early Years 1956-1969 (Ace 2011) —1960 recording written by Baker Knight & found on this recent compilation of James Burton instrumentals & songs by artists such as the Everly Brothers, Buffalo Springfield & Merle Haggard on which he played guitar. Highly recommended.
Gospel Ensemble “What You Need”
from Boddie Recording Company: Cleveland, Ohio (The Numero Group 2011) N —1977 gospel that came out of the Boddie Recording Studio in Cleveland, OH. Found on this beautifully packaged 3-disc collection of rare funk, soul & gospel. If only all reissues could be like this.
Brother Jack McDuff “Beep-Bo-Boo”
from Gin and Orange (Cadet Records unk 1969) —Music bed. Instrumental from this reissue of his 1969 Cadet release. Take the title, add a few letters, repeat a couple words and there you have it - the theme song for Kate's 'Beep Beep Boop Boop' show found here on KDHX every Wed night (9-11 PM).
Dean & Britta “Silver Factory Theme”
from 13 Most Beautiful: Songs For Andy Warhol's Screen Tests (Double Feature Records 2010) —Music bed. Instrumental from 2010 written to accompany a short film made by Andy Warhol.
Eliza Carthy “Rolling Sea”
from Rogue's Gallery - Pirate Ballads, Sea Song and Chanteys (Anti/Epitaph 2006) —Found on this 2-CD eclectic collection produced by Hal Willner & featuring artists such as Richard Thompson, Jarvis Cocker, Bryan Ferry, Bill Frisell, Andrea Corr & Van Dyke Parks.
Bob Dylan “Blind Willie McTell”
from The Bootleg Series: Volume 3 (Columbia 1991) —Recorded in 1983 during sessions for his Infidels album but not released until this 1991 compilation came out. Hard to believe. I remember seeing Slaid Cleaves do this song & saying how hard it was to learn because every verse is phrased so differently.
