Pop! The Beat Bubble Burst (Music)
Pop! The Beat Bubble Burst explores the music of the sixties with an emphasis on British Invasion and Mersey Beat. It then traces those branches to the present day by playing music that echoes the music of the sixties including power pop, jangle pop, pub rock, glitter and glam rock, neo-psychedelia and indie pop.

Harry Nilsson “Make Believe”

The Rutles “Blue Suede Schubert”
from The Rutles (Warner Bros. 1978) —I saw it was Schubert's birthday...thought it was Franz Schubert's which I'm guessing is the Schubert of this song, but closer inspection of The Birthdays in music states it was Louis Schubert, not Franz. So, whoever Louis is, it's his birthday today!
The Beatles “You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)”
from Past Masters Vol 1&2 (Apple 2009) R —I have never played this one on my show. I did however play the Anthology version with the ska bit in it on Tony C's Biddle Street Beat several years ago when I did a show that looked at the influence of black music on The Beatles' music.
Peter & Gordon “Pretty Mary”
