from The Very Best of Tom Rush: No Regrets, 1962-1999 (COLUMBIA/LEGACY 1999) —A great take on this song that Jackson Browne wrote when he was 18, Tom will be at the Old Rockhouse on October 27, catch the folk legend who just turned 70.


Terence Martin “Lost Hills”
from lost hills (Good Dog Music 2005) —Terrence has just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, keep him in your prayers, and check out his great body of work of which this is a fine example.


Kimmie Rhodes “CATCH THE WIND”

from Ready For Confetti (Lost Highway www.losthighwayrecords.com 2011) N  —Brand new and very good from Robert and his long time band, Lloyd Maines co-produces, the Robert Earl Keen Band played all over the midwest this week, except St. Louis, oh well, maybe next time.


Robyn Ludwick “Out Of These Blues” (Late Show Records 2011) N  —The female side of the very talented Robison family ( brothers Charlie and Bruce) and she outdoes the boys with this new release.


Mark Germino & the Grenade Angels “Screamin', Cryin' Freight Train Blues”
