from Cowboyography (Vanguard Records vanguardrecords.com 1994) —Ian with one of his many classics, might be the best song ever written about the rodeo, from an album full of wonderful songs.


Tom Russell “The Banks of the Musselshell”
from Song of the West - The Cowboy Collection (HMG/Hightone 1997) —Tom always says that one of his biggest honors was being able to write songs with both Ian and Sylvia Tyson, 2 of his heroes, this is one of those Ian Tyson co-writes.

from The Very Best of Rosanne Cash (Sony 2005) —The hits just keep on coming, Roseanne returns to St. Louis after a long absence to the acousticlly perfect Sheldon on Friday, May 10.


Phil Ochs “Hills Of West Virginia”
from I Ain't Marching Anymore (Ekektra 1965) —The 3rd annual Phil Ochs Tribute Night will take place Friday March 15 at Off Broadway, Local musicians Jan Marra, Tim Rakel, the Lodge Brothers, Cory Saathoff, Michael Berg, David Feldmann, & Ray Gude take the stage at 7:45.


Tom Rush “Fall Into the Night”
from What I Know (Appleseed I discovered this song when Pete Seeger passed last year. What a gift. 2009) —Legendary singer/songwriter Tom Rush, who turned 70 last year will bring his great songs & Wonderful sense of humor to the newly renivated Wlldley theatre in Edwardsville Thursday April 25.


Robert Earl Keen “Runnin' With the Night”
from Picnic (Arista 1997) —Robert Earl returns with his great band this Thursday, March 7 to Off Broadway, expect a full house for the Bandera, Texas native.


The Waymores “Wilder Girl”
from The Waymores (Waymores Records 2012) —really enjoying this debut by the wonderful trio of Sally Barris, Tom Kimmel, & Don Henry, can't wait to see them live.


Mike Plume Band “FREE”
from 8:30 Newfoundland (Road Angel Entertainment 2009) —One of my favorite Canadians, looking forward to the new album he's working on.


Great Big Sea “Have A Cuppa Tea”
from Safe Upon the Shore (Warner Music Canada 2010) —Another one of Roy Kasten's great KDHX fundraisers, this time it features the Kink's, a wonderful Kinks cover by GBS, Saturday March 30 at Off Broadway.


Ryan Spearman “Bound To Lose”
from Pain & Time (self 2013) L —Cd release this Friday, March 8 at the focal point for his great new cd, a wonderful local talent and a very active KDHX member.


Kelly Willis & Bruce Robison “Born to Roll”
from Cheater's Game (Premium/Thirty Tigers 2013) —The first couple of Austin Americana return to St. Louis in support of their amazing new album Friday, April 26 at Off Broadway.


Peter Cooper “Mission Door” (Red Beet Records 2008) —Peter with his buddy Eric Barce return the Focal Point on Friday May 3, great songs and humor from the Nashville friends.


Jeff Black “Walking Home”
