Goon Moon “Every Christian Lion Hearted Man Will Show You”
from Licker's Last Leg (Ipecac Recordings 2007) —Got a fair amount of positive feedback about this band when I played it last week, so here's another one, cover of the Bee Gees. New to me.
Patti Smith “Amerigo”
from Banga (Columbia 2012) —Coming to St. Louis to the Contemporary Art Museum. http://www.camstl.org/calendar/event/2013/05/05/an-evening-with-patti-smith/
The Beat “You Won't Be Happy”
from The Beat (Columbia 1979) —We heard from The English Beat earlier, they are known as The Beat in England, but because of this band, they add the geography to their name. Not sure if this band is known as The American Beat over there?
The B-52's “There's a Moon In the Sky (Called the Moon)”
from The B-52's CD Album (Warner Brothers 1979) —Fred Schneider of the B-52's will be in town for a concert next weekend with the Gateway Men's Chorus. He'll be stopping by KDHX for a quick visit around this time next Weds.
NoMeansNo “One And The Same”
from Tour EP No. 2 (Wrong wrongrecords.com 2011) —Next week I hope to have a FCC clean version of NoMeansMock's cover of "It's Catching Up" to the tune of The B-52's "Planet Clare".
