from Finally Home (3Dream Records 2012) —@ River City Casino this Friday, August 23 (Kenny Loggins leads the band, that includes superb singer / songwriters Gary Burr and Georgia Middleman, that's Georgia singing the great song we just heard.


Slaid Cleaves “Rust Belt Fields”
from Still Fighting the War (Music Road Records 2013) N  —Co-written with Rod Picott ...his Maine high school buddy and bandmate in the "Magic Rats" taken from Springsteen's "Jungleland" one of many great tunes on Slaid's new one.


Amanda Shires “Angels and Acrobats”

from Fogarty's Cove (Fogarty's Cove www.stanrogers.net 1977) R  —A request for something for my friends Roger and Mary's 50th anniversary, can't think of a better song to play than this classic love song by the late Canadian legend.


Kate Wolf “Give Yourself To Love”
from The Wind Blows Wild (Rhino 2006) —Speaking of late legends, why not follow it up with another classic.


JD Souther “Best of My Love”
from Natural History (Entertainment One 2011) —@ the Old Rockhouse on Thursday, September 5., still in fine form J.D. sings this tune he wrote for the Eagles, you can find J.D. these days on the T Bone Burnett t.v. show "Nashville" a surprisingly good account of the music business.
