Turnpike Troubadours “Every Girl”
from Diamonds & Gasoline (Onward Music 2009) —Not a weak cut from this infectous Oklahoma Band, my favorite new discovery in 2010


John Hiatt “The Open Road” (New West 2010) N  —Another master delivers another great set of songs.


Bruce Springsteen “Because the Night”
from The Promise (Columbia 2010) N  —Originally written in the 70's and given to Patti Smith, now on the Promise, an outtake album from Bruce's Darkness on the Edge of Town.


Scott McClatchy “American Land”
from A Dark Rage (self 2010) N  —A favorite new discovery, this great Springsteen cover seemed to fit here, also a Shane MacGowen cover along with 10 great originals by Scott.


Willie Nile “The Innocent Ones” (River House Records 2010) N  —Willie usually takes a few years between releases, this is his 2nd release in 2 years, and we're the ones who benefit.


Mary Chapin Carpenter “Mrs. Hemingway”
from The Age Of Miracles (Zoe 2010) N  —Great to hear new music from Mary.


Tom Russell “Heart of a Bucking Horse”
from Cowboy'd All to Hell (Frontera Records 2010) N  —Tom rerecorde many of cowboy classics on one disc, it did include this one never released song. Look for a new release from Tom early next year, new songs with the help of Fats Kaplin, Barry Walsh, Gretchen Peters, Wll Kimbro, Victor Kraus, Calexico, Etc.

David Olney “Covington Girl”
from Dutchman's Curve (Deadbeat Records 2010) N  —David Onley a songwriters songwriter and a master of his craft, made 2 St.Louis apearences with his buddy Sergio Webb in 2010.


Ellis Paul “Rose Tattoo”
from Live @ KDHX 12/6/09 (self 2009) —This show with Ellis Paul and Adam Ezra was the last of hundreds of shows that Larry hosted in the KDHX studios, he was the best interviewer I ever heard and made all the guests feel relaxed and comfortable.
