Guy Clark “The Randall Knife”
from Dublin Blues (Asylum 1995) —A masterpiece Guy wrote about his Dad.


Gretchen Peters “The Aviator's Song”
from Halcyon (Scarlet Letter Records 2009) —Gretchen's Dad survived being shot down in WWII, prompting her great tribute to him. Gretchen and her husband, Barry Walsh will be at the Mt.Olive Turner Hall Sat. 10/08 with Tom Russell.

Dave Alvin “The Man In The Bed”
from Ashgrove (Yep Roc www.yeproc.com 2004) —Dave dad suffered from Parkinsons disease, prompting Daves touching song. Dave & the Guilty Ones, Off Broadway 7/7 the Skeletons open.


Steve Goodman “My Old MAn”
from Say It In Private Single (Asylum 1977) —The much missed Chicago songwriter sings one for his dad who died young, Steve died much younger.


Bobby Bare “Daddy What If”
from 10 Bare Essentials (Music Mill Entertainment 2006) —Bobby Bare, Jr's recording debut with his dad, Jr. recently redid the Shel Silverstein song with his daughter Isabella on Twistable Turnable Man Silverstein Tribute.
