from Get Along Home (Green Strum 2011) N L —Local songwriter, Ryan Spearman pays tribute to the Cardinal folk hero, this goes out to my daughter Betsey, Willie's her hero, her license plate BQQP 51.

from Cowboy Ceilidh (Centerfire 2004) —From a poem by cowboy poet, Charles Badger Clark, Jr. and sung magnificently by Denice Withnell, first made famous by Ian & Sylvia Tyson and called "Spanish Is A Loving Tongue".

from The Animal Years (V2 North America 2006) —Josh and his Royal City Band will be at a sold out show at Off Broadway on July 22.


James McMurtry “Angeline”
from Too Long In the Wasteland (Columbia 1989) —A request from James's, John Mellencamp produced debut, saw James with David Bromberg opening for Nanci Griffith in the round at Westport Plaza promoting this album, won me over !!!


Tom Rush “JazzMan / Jonah”
from Live at Symphony Hall, Boston (Varese 2001) —Folk legend Tom Rush will be at the Old Rockhouse on Thursday, October 27 Amazing storyteller, just turned 70, along with Bob Dylan and Guy Clark, that makes 1941 a very, very good year for songwriters !!


Katy Moffatt “Kind Woman (feat. Julian Dawson)”
from Playin' Fool (Strictly Country www.strictlycountryrecords.com 2010) —Katy and Julian Dawson with a great take on Richie Furay's Buffalo Springfield and Poco classic.


Neil Young “Flying On the Ground Is Wrong”
from A Treasure (Reprise 2011) N  —Newly found concert tapes, Neil has reunited with Stephen Stills & Richie Furay for a Buffalo Springfield reunion tour (rythm section Bruce Palmer & Dewey Martin are deceased). Hoping to see a St.Louis date.
