Thousands of music fans made their way to the "land of the delta blues" last weekend for the annual Beale Street Music Festival. This was my fifth time attending the long-running fest, part of the city's month-long Memphis in May celebration in Tom Lee Park on the banks of the Mississippi River.

Alison Krauss & Union Station performance was well recieved by the crowd at the Fabulous Fox Theater on Thursday night.

After a bit of a hiatus due to her Grammy-winning collaboration with Robert Plant, Alison Krauss is back with Union Station.

Bloc Party is back (well, they've only been gone two years) with plans for a new record. No release date but the band will begin recording in September.
