This year proved to be another fantastic time for new releases. I'm proud to share my top 10 with the KDHX listeners on "Bittersweet Melody" this Wednesday, January 2, from 5-7 a.m. Central.
Here you have it: a list of the top ten songs of 2012 that damaged my car speakers, headphones, and hearing, and rattled all the priceless artwork off my walls. I suppose that's only half true, but these songs are good none the less.
This list was not put together with an aesthetic in mind for what I deem best in show, but rather attempts to pool together a diverse set of documentaries about artists and their art, hoping that you'll find one worth pursuit.
On Songwriters Showcase every Sunday morning 10 a.m.-noon Central, I enjoy sharing old favorites and new releases with listeners. Here's 10 of the latter that I most enjoyed this year.

As of early December, these were my top 10 albums of 2012, but I've spent most of the month reviewing other worthy releases, so the countdown you'll hear on Rocket 88 on January 1, 2013 may be somewhat different.
I've had a great year as Music Department intern at 88.1 KDHX, and I had a great time putting together this list of top 10 albums.
I host "Train of Thought" every Friday 3-5 a.m. Central on 88.1 KDHX. As usual, I had a good time putting together my list of top 10 albums and singles of the year.
