"I want to ride my life like a rocket from hell -- aim it for that far wall of the universe and break on through to a place with no story or name." - Bob Reuter
Bob Reuter, host of "Bob's Scratchy Records," died on August 3, 2013 at the age of 61. His voice and vision were an essential, irreplaceable part of KDHX and the St. Louis community.
The story of Bob Reuter and his transformation into the lead, howling spirit of Alley Ghost is well known by now. But what you might not know is that on his band's new 7" -- "Dana Dew" b/w "Brought Me to the Wire" -- he has never sounded more relentless, more alive and kicking, more like St. Louis' Poet Laureate of the North Side, South Side, Dark Side, Whatever Side Rock 'n' Roll Is On.
Another Midwest Mayhem has come and gone, leaving behind a giant, misshapen, multi-colored ball of memories.
