Caitlin Rose
"The Stand-In"
ATO
From the rock-guitar riff of the opening song to the muted horn of the closing track, Nashville singer Caitlin Rose makes clear she's on solid musical ground with "The Stand-In."
The Twangfest day parties at South By Southwest, presented by KDHX, moved locations to the legendary Broken Spoke for the 2013 festivities, and although the stages were different, the good times rolled on.
Heaven had better make room: There's a new honky-tonk angel in town, and her name is Caitlin Rose. On "I Was Cruel" her wings might be more than a little singed with sin, but they soar all the same.
She been called everything from "husky country" to "indie darling" to "trad-country." But when it comes to Caitlin Rose, that's really just the beginning.
