Best of 2012: Travis Dettmann's top 10 albums (close enough for punk and metal to count edition)
I've had a great year as Music Department intern at 88.1 KDHX, and I had a great time putting together this list of top 10 albums.

Dinosaur Jr. has returned with more somber drawls and resilient guitar solos on its sophomore Jagjaguwar release "I Bet on Sky."

The third annual LouFest music festival in Forest Park took place this past Saturday and Sunday, with some of the best acts in pop, rock, hip hop and electronic music.

Several Shades of Why, the latest album from J Mascis, is quite captivating. When sitting down to give a listen it really pulled me in. While the music is minimalist in nature, it is more than enough to please the most discerning ears.
