French Film Fest concludes on a high note

The Classic French Film Festival concludes its annual celebration from Thursday, June 27th through Sunday, June 30th at Webster University. The five different programs present a diversity of styles and topics in five feature films and one short subject. Director Francois Truffaut is represented with two films; Pierre Étaix, Max Ophuls and Jean-Pierre Melville with one each.

'Amour' Conveys Love and Compassion

Writer/director Michael Haneke's masterpiece "Amour" is as honest, unsentimental, and carefully observed as it is demanding of audience patience and empathy. Retired octogenarians Anne and Georges enjoy quiet, pleasant lives. They know each other's subtle gestures and daily habits, they mirror each other.
