In August 2009 and June 2010 I thought I was going to see Silversun Pickups. They were on the bill for festivals I was going to, I had circled them on my schedule as a set to see, and then, for some reason, both times I opted for other options.

When you see a band for the fourth time, you start to notice weaknesses. On Monday I saw Grouplove for the fourth time in half that many years. Some of the band's flaws became more than apparent.

The Delmar Metro parking lots surrounding the Pageant were stuffed with cars. I guess this is what the MTV Music Awards will do for a band like Young the Giant's attendance.
