It's 1 a.m. and Mardi Gras World is still kicking. Spring breakers and locals alike are packed tight to see some of today's top acts in EDM, hip-hop and indie rock. With shows starting at dusk and ending at three in the morning, the two-day festival known as Buku only got more crowded and more rowdy as the night progressed.

Here you have it: a list of the top ten songs of 2012 that damaged my car speakers, headphones, and hearing, and rattled all the priceless artwork off my walls. I suppose that's only half true, but these songs are good none the less.

It always impresses me just how loud and complete some two-piece bands can sound. The Black Keys, the White Stripes and the Kills are the first that come to mind, but after Tuesday night at the Firebird I might have to put a new pair at the top of that list: Japandroids.
