On a night short on soliloquies from the stage, Jessica Lea Mayfield and her band let their mix of country rock music do the storytelling for them. The set mesmerized the Off Broadway audience with a mix of hauntingly gorgeous vocals and feedback-laden guitar wizardry.
Showcasing her slick ability to craft dark and stormy tunes, sung with a vocal richness that will haunt your ears for days, Jessica Lea Mayfield captivated the room within notes of the first number.
