Kristine Flaherty, aka K.Flay, has made a name for herself as an independent-minded, feminist rapper. On "West Ghost," from the new mixtape of the same name, she proves her production chops are just as strong. The track smacks and stutters and flows like the best hip-hop party starters must.
Some people claim that the art of the music video is dead, but I believe it's simply moved from the industry-controlled cable stations to the nearly limitless world of the Internet.
On the show "Elevated Rhymestate" I feature the latest and greatest in hip-hop and urban music. To my ears, 2012 was a great year for music.
