Loving music means supporting those who make it, and there's no better way to do that than to pick up a brand new album at a brick and mortar record store near you.
Lists are never perfect. The idea is to remind myself what captivated me throughout the year, and to let others know what they might have missed. And then, I try to say a little more to contribute to thinking about the music of 2013. So, here is what I liked the most on the day that I wrote the list.
There were so many releases in 2013 and I know I only heard a small fraction of them. In my relatively small overall sampling of 2013 album releases, I found a whole lot to like, and it was difficult to narrow them down to a list of 10.
