It's so satisfying to visit an old friend and find him in fine form. That's how I felt watching "Creed," featuring the sixth return of Sylvester "Sly" Stallone as Rocky Balboa. This time out, Sly plays not the buff boxer who won our hearts in "Rocky," the 1976 Academy Award winner for Best Picture.
The title refers to a station along the metro-rail lines of San Francisco's Bay Area Rapid Transit system. The film, based on a true story, opens in that station with a row of screaming white police officers threatening a row of black men, forced to sit against a wall.
