"Terrain: From Here to the Horizon" is the delightful first exhibit at the new Reese Gallery in the Cherokee district. The show features works on paper by Elysia Mann and ceramic sculptures by Erica Iman. The two artists work in very different media and styles, but their work forms a beautiful and cohesive exhibition.

Itshanapa: A Surreal Sankofa Experience is a stunning solo exhibit by St. Louis artist Dail Chambers, who also goes by her gifted name, Itshanapa. Sankofa is a word meaning looking back, and in this exhibit, Chambers looks back on her journey as an artist and her experience searching for more information about her grandmother, who she never had the opportunity to meet.

When you visit the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis over the next few months, don't be alarmed when you start hearing strange noises. The voices, rumbles and roars are part of "Audible Interruptions," a series of site-specific sound installations that opened in early September and will run, in three parts, until August 2014.
