How do I apply to volunteer at KDHX?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with KDHX! Most people know that our DJs are volunteers, but all of our departments utilize passionate, dedicated volunteers who wish to help us further our mission to build community through media.

Please note that our programmer (DJ and podcast host) application process is closed at this time. Please check back later to see when programmer opportunities open. The remaining volunteer opportunities are open, but also are limited at this time.

All volunteers are required to be 18 years of age or older. We can also accommodate volunteers for community service hours, with some restrictions. If you are looking for a way to get involved, please read the descriptions below and apply for the position that best fits your interests and skills. 

Media Production

Our staff manages the facility and production programs, but our highly skilled volunteer producers get it all done. We’re looking for people with skills and enthusiasm to produce on-air announcement and calendars, help out with in-studio performances, record and edit videos, and more. We offer training for most volunteer roles, but need to qualify candidates for advanced technical and performance type roles based on potential return on investment.
