Schlafly Beer, the original, independent craft brewery in St. Louis, announces today a celebration of all things local in Maplewood: The Schlafly Maplewood Market. The Schlafly Maplewood Market will offer food, art and other locally made products beginning July 11 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks (7260 Southwest Ave, Maplewood, MO 63143). With a focus on the Maplewood community, guests can purchase a ‘Maplewood Market’ shopping tote ($5) on-site at Schlafly to also shop participating small businesses surrounding the brewery that will be offering a variety of discounts and deals during the market’s operating hours. Following the July 11 launch, the Maplewood Market will take place monthly on the first Sunday of each month through November 2021 (August 1, September 5, October 3 and November 7.) Schlafly Bottleworks will host a Bloody Mary bar and a beer stand on-site for guests to enjoy beverages while browsing a selection of locally sourced goods from local small business owners.

The Maplewood Market provides seasonal offerings from local bakers, growers, makers, artists, performers, non-profits and more. With over 35 vendors on-site and several shops participating throughout the Maplewood Mile, guests can try: seasonal flavors of popsicles such as Pear Goat Cheese from Pete’s Pops; purchase ‘Sassy Salsa’ and more from local salsa maker Jack’s Salsa; shop St. Louis-inspired apparel with vintage designs from Series Six; enjoy kids’ arts and crafts activities from Artists First; and shop several home and beauty products including handmade Shea butter soaps from Mud City Soaps.
